Display Shows T1 LOAD PAPER LETTER, Paper Pulls From Wrong Tray, or Jobs Are Clipped

Summary: The desired tray is loaded with letter size paper. When printing any of the following symptoms are displayed:

Cause: The paper size is set incorrectly.
Solution: Set the paper size:

Cause: The paper tray input slot is loose- there is not enough lateral pressure on the tray to press the Paper Size Cam firmly on the Size Switch Springs.

Solution: Tighten the paper tray input slot.

Cause: One of the Size Switch Springs is misaligned.

Note: Typically this problem is seen with switch three.

Cause: The paper tray Stops are set incorrectly, or a problem with the paper tray Paper Size Cam.

Cause: A problem with the Size Switch PCB, the Paper Feed Driver PCB, or the Main PCB.

Check: Test the paper size switch circuit: Solution: If the size switch test fails, try aligning the Size Switch Springs- if this does not help, have the printer serviced by a qualified technician.
