Summary: A new duplex unit jams.
Solution: Replace the duplexer with the correct model.
Solution: Replace the Rear Cover Assembly.
Note: The installation diagrams for the duplexer show the Rear Cover being opened to remove a shipping block. The Rear Cover should be closed after removing the block. The diagram can be wrongly interpreted to remove the rear cover.
Check: The proper feed roller is a ribbed black rubber roller. The original roller is smooth.
Solution: Install the proper roller per the instruction sheet that came with the duplexer.
Note: If the wrong roller is installed, the printer will
jam when pulling from the duplex guide. The printer may work for a period of time, then start jamming.
