Resolution:

* When to Initialize the printer:

- When a firmware chip or a circuit board has been replaced.

- When NVRAM has been corrupted, causing problems.
   NVRAM corruption can be caused by:
   - Power surge or spike.
   - Power outage.
   - Electrostatic discharge.

- When recommended by Tech Support.

* To initialize the printer:

- Turn the printer power ON while holding the LF and FF/LOAD keys.

- Hold the LF and FF/LOAD keys. until the display shows INITIAL MENU.

- Release the LF and FF/LOAD keys.  The display will show INITIALIZE.

- Press the ENTER key.

- Press the UP ARROW key until the display reads DOM (domestic).

- Press the  ENTER key to begin initialization.

- The display will show INITIALIZING for a few seconds and then 
  change to ALIGNMENT.

- To exit the Initialize Menu, press MENU.
