- Hard paper jams.

- Press the UP ARROW- the display shows TUNE > Y.
- Press the ENTER key- the display shows SENSORS TUNING.
- After the sensor tune is complete, the display will show INTIALIZE.
- Turn off the printer power.
- Wait 10 seconds, then turn the printer power on.

NOTES:

- A sensor tune is recommended when first installing a printer, or if the printer is
  moved to a different location.

- If the sensor tune is performed with paper loaded, the sensors will be incorrectly
calibrated, and problems will be compounded.

- If the printer is placed inside any enclosure, a sensor tune MUST be performed or
the printer will be susceptible to hard paper jams.

- Hard paper jams occur when the sensor indicates paper is installed when it is
  actually out:

Normally, when the paper is out and the LOAD/FF key is pressed, the print head moves
to the right and the mylar upper paper clamp opens to the load position.

If paper is in, and the LOAD/FF key is pressed, the print head and the paper clamp
   do not move.

If the printer does not sense that the paper is out, then when paper is loaded the
paper clamp does not open, and paper jams against it as it loads.
