Resolution:

Print the System Status report as follows:

 Place the printer off-line.
 Press the MENU key.
 Press UP arrow until the display shows PRINT STATUS.
 Press the ENTER key.
 Press the UP arrow until the display shows SYSTEM.
 Press the ENTER key.
 The system status report will print.
 Press the MENU key to exit the menu.

Examine the firmware ID at the top of the system status report.  The 3460
must have version 2.09 or greater; the 3470 must have version 1.17 or greater.

CAUSE:  With older firmware revisions, the printer emulation does not 
properly switch as directed by the driver.

SOLUTION:  Upgrade the printer firmware.
