Resolution:

IPDS controller software 44A103004 (1.04) adds two features to the IDPS 
settings, IGNORE PATH and DFLT PATH. 

The IGNORE PATH feature can be set to ignore host commands for paper path 
changes to the printer. Path changes are a result of Set Input Media Source
(SIMS) commands in the IPDS data stream. The available options for the 
IGNORE PATH feature are OFF (Default setting) and ON.  With IGNORE PATH set 
to ON the path selection will be controlled only by the printer's control 
panel.  Setting IGNORE PATH to ON overrides the DFLT PATH feature. 

The DFLT  PATH feature determines the path selected when the printer is 
placed on-line after applying power. The path can be changed from the 
control panel and will not revert to the DFLT PATH setting until the next 
time the printer is powered on and placed on-line. The DFLT PATH setting can 
be overridden by the IGNORE PATH feature being set to ON. The available 
options for the DFLT PATH feature are FRONT (Default setting), REAR, MANUAL, 
ASF1, ASF2, and ASF3.

ACCESSING THE FEATURES

The IGNORE PATH and DFLT PATH features are found in the IPDS Setup menu.
This Setup menu is found by placing the printer off-line and entering the 
following key sequence:

	Menu, UP Arrow,  Enter, Enter

When the Setup menu is entered the display will show AUTO SWITCH. To find the 
DFLT PATH and IGNORE PATH selections, press the DOWN Arrow key.

After the printer configuration is completed exit the IPDS Setup menu by 
pressing the On Line key once or the Menu key repeatedly.
