3800 Print Mode Problems

PROBLEM: 3800 printer in FX286e or PPXL emulation is stuck in a special
print mode, such as:
o increased gap between characters
o double-wide, double-high
o underline, underscore, overscore,
o emphasized, double-strike
o proportional
o superscript, subscript
CAUSE: A down-line command changed the print mode, but no command
turned it off.
SOLUTION: Cycle the formats:
- Take the printer off-line.
- Press the FORMAT key repeatedly until the display changes to the next format.
- Press the FORMAT repeatedly again until the display shows the desired format.
Since the print mode was set but not saved, cycling the formats will reload the
format into active memory.
NOTE: Turning off the printer or changing the emulation will not reset the print mode.
