3800 H-P Unix Configuration

If you are experiencing problems with system lock-ups when attempting to
connect 3840EP's to HP 8000 Unix systems the problem may be the need for
the printer to send multiple XON's and XOFF's. Only 3840EP's with the
PHPM firmware 44A514932 or higher will have this capability. The DC1/DC3
Control menu has been expanded to include:
* Multiple DC1's
* Multiple DC3's
* DC1 on Power On
It is also important to set DC1 on Power On when connecting to HP 8000
Unix systems.
If an attempt is made to connect to HP 8000 Unix systems using DTR control,
the results can be a lock-up of ALL printer ports on the HP system.
