3810/40 Series - Changing the Format

PROBLEM: After making a change to the format and saving it, the settings do not seem to take effect.

CAUSE: The changed format has not been re-loaded into active memory.

SOLUTION: After changing a format, cycle through the formats to load the new version of the format into active memory.

EXAMPLE: Format 1 is currently selected. Changes are made and saved in the Program mode, and the Program mode is exited. To cycle the formats, press the FORMAT key until the next format is shown- FORMAT 2. Then press the FORMAT key until the desired format is shown- FORMAT 1. This loads the new version of Format 1 into memory.

NOTE: Changes to the Top Print Reference take effect only when paper is loaded. Thus, after changing the Top Print Reference, cycle the formats, park the paper, and load the paper.
