Premature Board Failures on either the SMMC or SMHI boards.

Summary:
SYMPTOM: Symptoms may vary from failure of the stepper motors to function, shuttle motor failures or machine faults reported during power on self test..

CAUSE: Not waiting until the power supply capacitors are fully discharged before removing or installing logic boards will cause the circuits on either the SMMC or SMHI to fail.


Resolution:


ACTION:  Ensure that you wait at least one full minute before removing or installing
 any logic board(s) in the 44XX series of shuttle matrix printers.
