SOLUTION 2: False paper jams:

The Paper Motion Sensor is an option for this printer. The sensor is a black box with a
rubber wheel and a cable. On older versions, the cable runs through the top of the back
cover, and connects directly to the motherboard. On newer models, the cable runs to a
connector by the interface connectors, then an adapter cable runs to the motherboard.
The sensor box snaps onto the paper exit rack on the top rear of the printer.
While printing, the paper causes the wheel to turn, sending a signal back to the logic
boards.

- Check the sensor and make sure it is secured to the exit rack.

- If the sensor appears to be missing, remove the back cover and check to see if the sensor
is laying inside the printer. Re-route the cable and install the sensor.

- Make sure the rubber wheel is attached, and check to see if the shaft turns with the
   wheel.

- Check the paper and see if the wheel turns as paper feeds.

- Check the cable for damage.

There are no options to enable or disable the sensor. It is enabled when it it is plugged
in. To disable the sensor, simply unplug it.
