4410 / 4440 INITIALIZATION
*** WARNING *** This procedure will reset ALL printer settings to FACTORY DEFAULTS, or to previously-stored settings. If you do not know how the printer is configured, print the STATUS REPORT before proceeding. By INITIALIZATION SWITCH: 1. Turn power off. 2. Slide switch (back side of operator's panel, upper right) to RIGHT. 3. Turn power on. Display will cycle thru "888"; ".P"; and finally stop at ".SU" Press FUNCTION (FCT - key 9) key. 4. Slide the initialization switch back to the left. By the control panel: (Offline - 9-1-9 (Default); or 9-1-3 (Stored)) 1. Take printer off-line (Loc). Press FUNCTION (9) key. Display -> ".Fnc". Press PROGRAM (1) key. Display -> ".SU". 2a. To initialize to FACTORY DEFAULTS, press FUNCTION (FCT) key. Display -> "IS.U" 2b. To initialize to PREVIOUSLY-STORED customer settings, press ON LINE key. Display -> ".CSU". 3. After initialization, Display will show either "Loc" or "OnL". |
