48xx/449x: Using Non-Standard Form Lengths Windows Applications
12/03/97 Jerry Babral

Models: 48XX, 449X

Summary:
When using custom form lengths in Windows applications remember that the Windows driver does not send an ANSI form length command to the printer.

Resolution:

If the form length falls on a LPI boundary, the form length
may be set and stored to a form from the control panel.

If the form length does not fall on an LPI boundary the following
procedure can be used.

1. Send the ASCII command for the desired form length specified
    in decipoints to the printer.
2. Place the printer in the Function Mode and advance to
    FCT:Setup.
3. Enter the Setup menu and advance to Setup:Store.
4. Press Enter to store the form length.
5. Press Quit to return to Local.

NOTE: This procedure will allow the printer to return to
the custom form length after being powered off. If a form
is selected by using the Font/Form key or if the pprinter
is reinitialized, the form length can be restored by
entering FCT:Setup, advancing to Setup:Recall and
	  pressing Enter.
