4800 Slow Printing

Summary:
 Printer will not print 800 LPM from TEST button.

Resolution:
 


Possible Causes: 

  1. Code Foldover is OFF.  The printer will not print 800 LPM unless it is 
     printing  Upper Case characters only.   

  Solution:
     Set Code Foldover to ON in the Font/Prt Options menu.

  2. Printer Strap B35 is out.  B35 is intended to disable Kick Start but what 
     it really does is make the printer print in Kick Start mode all of the time.
     Being locked in Kick Start Mode causes the printer to energy throttle.

  Solution:
     Install PStrap B35.
