Description:	Two Different LA30R-KA Ribbon Cartridges

Issue / Symptom:

There are 2 different ribbon cartridges for the LA-36. On one, the ribbon advance knob turns in the clockwise direction. On the other, the knob turns in the counter-clockwise direction.

Solution/Action: Due to the differences in the design of the two styles of cartridges, the manual ribbon advance knob is turned in opposite directions to advance the ribbon manually. An arrow above the knob clearly shows the proper direction to turn to advance the ribbon. Caution: Turning in the incorrect direction will induce a ribbon cartridge jam failure which renders the cartridge useless.

Style 1 (Older) Ribbon Release Tabs must be pushed in to engage the ribbon feed mechanism. After engaging the ribbon feed mechanism, the ribbon is advanced by turning the manual advance knob in the clockwise direction.

Style 2 (Newer) The ribbon is advanced by turning the manual advance knob in the counter-clockwise direction.
