Using Non-Specified Media and Dye Sublimation Toners

Summary:
This technote addresses
- The increased use of, and interest in using, non-specified media
and sublimation toners in TallyGenicom's line of color laser products.
- The use of ink jet paper in all TallyGenicom laser printers, both mono and color models.
This tech note is intended for all TallyGenicom DSM's, Resellers, and TallyGenicom product end-users.
Warranty Issue 1:
The use of sublimation toners and transfer paper in TallyGenicom Color Laser Products.
Any use of non-specified media or toner in TallyGenicom Color Laser products may void your warranty.
The following media types have been tested and specified for use in the TallyGenicom Color Laser Printers:
- Plain Paper - 18-24 lb bond (simplex & duplex)
- Thick Stock - Simplex 43 lb bond (90 lb index) Duplex 28 lb bond
The toners warranted under TallyGenicom specifications are the toners that ship with these products and/or
are purchased from the TallyGenicom price list.
The use of any other media types and toners in these products may void your warranty.
Warranty Issue 2:
The use of paper, labels stock and other non-laser rated media (for example media intended
for copiers and Ink Jet printers) in all TallyGenicom Laser Products both color and mono models.
Use of non-laser rated media types may void your warranty.
