Upgrade by SIMM Replacement

The SIMM (Single In-line Memory Module) that contains the printer code can be replaced. To install a new SIMM:

• Turn off the printer power.
• Remove any interface cables from the back of the printer.
• mL320, mL401, LN32, LNM40: Remove the Intelliprint controller board by loosening the screws on both sides.
• mL210, mL280, LN21, LN28: Remove the left side cover by pulling back on the rear.
• mL280, LN28: Remove the metal shield by loosening the screws on the bottom.
• Locate and remove Flash SIMM 1.

The mL401 controller is shown. The other controllers are similar.

• Install the new SIMM.
• Re-assemble the printer.
