Printers with IPDS kits that have the following product version or higher may be upgraded normally per IP-01A:
mL210, LN21, mL280, LN28:
Coax IPDS 111.30
Twinax IPDS 101.30mL320, mL401, LNM40:
Coax IPDS 63.30
Twinax IPDS 52.30
Printers with IPDS kits that have lower product versions require three flash upgrades:
- Flash to the Intermediate Code level (1.3x or 3.3x) - this installs Flash Format 3 and the capability for further upgrades.
- Flash the IPDS Fonts- this re-formats the Font SIMM to Flash Format 3 and re-installs the fonts.
- Flash to the latest IPDS version.
Use the instructions in IP-01A to perform the upgrades in the above order.
